IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is an international organization that aims to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Young Engineer Conference is an annual event that allows young engineers to present their research projects to the IEEE Engineers.
Students who are passionate about electr4onics can sign up for the program. The process is
- Goes through the design process to land on an innovative research project for the benefit of humanity
- Work independently under the mentor’s guidance weekly
- Participating at the annual Young Engineer Conference, presenting the product with a poster summarizing the project
- Complete the research paper for peer review
- Publish the paper on Research Gate
2025 Young Engineer conference will be on Nov 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) at St Francis University.
Now opens for new projects for YE25
YE25 projects
Check out some proposed topics to see if you want to commit to an independent research program. Please feel free to suggest a topics that inspires you as well. We have weekly meetings our co-mentor Paul Hodgson, IEEE Engineer and Chairman from CT/OES.
What needs to be done:
- Land on a topic as early as possible
- Weekly meeting with the mentor to raise questions to help you progress on your research
- Build a protype, test your prototype
- Prepare a A0 poster with An Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Conclusion and Acknowledgement
- Prepare a PowerPoint for your conference
- Preset your PPT and poster with your product/prototype at the conference in Nov 2025
- Compete your research paper for peer review and to be published on Research Gate before Mar 2026.
